Experience the charm of a Kentucky summer with the Louisville Bicycle Club’s 45th Old Kentucky Home Bicycle Tour (OKHT)—a tradition rooted in community, scenic beauty, and a love of cycling.
This year’s tour features three distance options to suit every rider:
Each route winds through the rolling hills and picturesque horse farms of Oldham County, offering a ride as challenging as it is beautiful.
Start & Finish:
The ride begins and ends at the main entrance of 3rd Turn Oldham Gardens 6300 Old Lagrange Rd Crestwood, KY 40014, which also hosts our after-party and lunch celebration—a perfect place to unwind with fellow cyclists.
Rest Stops to Remember:
Kick-Off Ride – Friday, August 8:
We’ll kick off the weekend with an open group ride starting from The Barn at Maples Park, followed by packet pickup and a chance to meet fellow riders and club members.
About the OKHT:
Founded in 1974 by Stewart Prather and members of the Louisville Bicycle Club, the OKHT originally toured to Bardstown, Kentucky. Today, the event continues to embody Stewart’s vision—celebrating Kentucky’s rural beauty and cycling community while exploring the backroads of our Old Kentucky Home.
