Tour de Mad Dog Series Stage 13: Adjective Ride - 100.2-miles

Route Distance: 100.2-miles 

Starting Location: Thurman-Hutchins Park, 3227 River Rd, Louisville, KY 40207, USA

Route Description: Ride starts in middle of Thurman Hutchins Park. 'Wheels up' at 7:15am. If you want to leave earlier, contact me at (502) 741-1560. The ridewithgps link above is the latest (V5). Expect hot, humid and showers. I'll be riding conservatively at 14 mph. This course tends to speed you up before the climbs kick in. Be smart.

Ride crosses Big 4, up through Jeff and River Ridge. First store stop is Henryville. Next section takes you up to Underwood, over to Liberty Knob (easy climb), through Amish country to Williams Knob (harder climb), up to Daisy Hill (closest thing to a roller coaster on a bike) and down to Borden for lunch. There's a Subway, ice cream store and gas station for lunch choices. Climb up Star Hill (long but not steep), then through Starlight and Floyds Knobs. 3rd store stop is Marathon station or Berry Twist ice cream. Climb Old Hill Road over to Quarry Road and down Edwardsville Knob. Take Ohio River Greenway over to Big 4 and finish back at Thurman Hutchins.
