3:45 PM 2mi #1 Kmart parking lot 4025 Poplar Level Rd
The tradition continuesJ 2 Mile Holiday Ride through the Mega Cavern Lights Under Louisville…with over 2 million points of light and 850 Christmas light displays. The terrain is mostly packed dirt so a mountain bike or wider tire type bike is advisable. Pump up the tires on your mountain bike or close the deal on the one you are wanting to buy and join us! To better be able to see the roadway, a front headlight is a very good idea. The cavern remains at about 62-65 degrees. The indoor Mega Bike Park will be closed at 4:00pm on Saturday so we won’t have access to the trails this year. However, they will be providing to us discount coupons to use at a later time. The normal cost is $24.00 for 4 hours, we will be given a $10 off coupon to drop that cost down to $14 for 4 hours. We’ll meet at the Kmart parking lot located at 4025 Poplar Level Road and ride to Taylor Avenue which is just off the Kmart parking lot. We will have a sign in sheet and the cost is $6.00 per person, EXACT change would be very helpful. This is great fun! We are allowed to ride through before they are open to the general public..so no cars..only bikes..how cool is that! Christmas cookies and hot chocolate after the ride…hope you can join us. The rain date will be the following Saturday, December 12, 2015..same time…same everything. Ride Captain Kelly McGill 502-641-7718, kelly.mcgill@twc.com, kelly.mcgill@adp.com

10:00 AM 42mi #4 Eastern Elementary School 6928 Bethlehem Rd, Pleasureville, KY 40057
Franklinton Gravel Adventure Ride. Get ready for an adventure! This ride will be ridden on a variety of road surfaces, so expect to bring a cross, mtb or other bike that can handle larger treaded tires. Part of the adventure is that the roads will be mostly unknown, as even the ride captain will likely not have seen them before, so expect to be rerouted if roads are closed or impassible, ideally we will stay together as a group so nobody gets lost (or at least nobody is lost alone). Things to expect: pavement, gravel, dirt, mud, water crossings, trees down across roads, stores that aren't actually open. Roads without signs, roads that disappear into nothingness and require bushwacking through the woods to reach where the road reappears on the other side. Be prepared: bring enough food and water to handle the expected mileage and then some. Tools and such to fix any problems that you may have. Be prepared to push your bike up some impossibly steep, boulder strewn roads. Most of all be prepared to have fun!
